We cannot achieve Harmony without Unity. In many instances, they both are referred to synonymously though they have differences, and both Unity and Harmony bind the elements of art together into one piece. For example, a group of light colors has a certain harmony because they are all light. Even though many different hues are used, there is a sense of harmony as most of the colors are in the light value range. Unity is achieved when each element of a design fits in with the overall concept of the production.
It is defined by how those elements relate to the production as a whole. Harmony , on the other hand, is defined by how those same elements relate to each other.
