What is the difference between g10 and g15 irons

Ping removed a lot of the weight from the center of the iron and distributed to the other areas of the irons, which has allowed the G15 irons to be more forgiving without taking away any distance. Ping claims that the new G15 designed irons allow the golfer to get a higher launch angle for longer shots from each iron. Similar to the G-series irons Ping has made in the past, the G15 can be used under every condition or lie. This clubs helps beginning golfers to get the ball into the air and the carry distance is better than most irons on the market today.

The offset allows beginners to square the club face up easier, but experienced golfers need an adjustment period as they need to pull the irons until they get used to the offset.

With its wider sole, these irons make them easier to hit. As a beginner, you may not want to pay the price for these clubs and spend extra on golf lessons. But once you start to get better on striking the ball, then these are the clubs that you need to get next. The G15 are clubs that average golfers will really like. The weight distribution of the iron makes them easier to hit. I'm using a G10 9 degree but after trying the G15 at the range last week I found the serrano shaft and the grip much better than the G I'd say there was no noticeable difference in the head, if I did change I'd stick with 9 degrees loft.

If I could change over for minimal outlay I'd do it, but not for a couple hundred dollars - I can't see the value. Posted 30 September - AM Went and had a look at the new i15 irons, I was amazed that they have increased the offset quite a lot from the i10s. Then again it probably fills the gap between the S57s, and G15s. The i10s were probably too similar to the level required to play S57s.

Very happy with all. My last acquisition was the 3 wood last weekend. Reply to quoted posts Clear. Contact Us iseekgolf. All Rights Reserved. Sign In Need an account? Register now! I never hit the G's, but liked the G's alot.

I'd say if your budget allows, go for the G's. There are some pro's using them, so you should be able to work the ball when you're ready, and until then you'll benefit from the forgiveness they offer. I game the G 15 irons and love them but I say go for the G10's if saving a bit of money is important to you as these irons are very similar in thier design You say you got fitted for stiff flex steels shafts? Was that the AWT shaft? Did you know that they offer the Z-Z65 shaft as a stock option wait I am not sure about that for the G10?

Well either way you will become even more a part of the PING family with which ever G iron you go with I game the G15 irons and love them but I say go for the G10's if saving a bit of money is important to you as these irons are very similar in thier design It was actually for the AWT shaft I dont think the Z-Z65 came stock on the G10's. Thanks for all of the words Cannot wait for them to come in!

Have had the G10's for 3 years this month; took them to Phoenix last year and had Ping bend the lofts to the G15 specs about 1 degree stronger. Looked long and hard at the Mizuno JPX's; in the end, had played Pings for more than 20 years and just couldn't get away from that look. I think? Welcome to the family!!! I am thinking about replacing my TEE hybrid 16 deg with a G 15 hybrid 17 deg and possibly going to a 20 deg one as well I don't see why there's a big debate.

The G15's are built on the same platform as the G10, which was an "upgrade" to the G5, and so on. A couple of milimeters difference in Center of Gravity CG location won't make a big difference. The color scheme doesn't make a difference. THe G10's were "top of the line" when they came out Just because they're a little older? Funny you say that I just purchased a couple new Ping G10 hats and a Ping shirt. And a few rounds are always thrown in there. I hit the G10 xg and the G Liked them both about the same.

I ended up purchasing the G10's because they were cheaper You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Note: Your post will require moderator approval before it will be visible.
